ON THE SYSTEM OF UNITS
A proposal to the International Standards Organization

As it is well known, in any theory the selection of the 
measurement system is of a very high importance. For instance, 
in nuclear physics it is a very convenient measurement system  
where the two most important constants -- the Planck constant, 
h and the speed of light, c are equal to 1.

Herewith it is suggested to introduce similar simplifications in 
mathematics -- recalibrate the axis of real numbers in such a 
way that the two important constants, e = 0 and pi = 1.

This will tremendously simplify geometry:  the circumference of 
a circle will be equal to the diameter, the sum of angles of a 
triangle will be equal to 1.

There will be even more beneficial changes in the calculus.
It is known that exp(2 * pi * i) = 1.  Taking logarithm of this 
expression we get 2 * pi * i * ln(e) = 0, which yields i = 0 as  
2 * pi * ln(e) != 0.  This eliminates all the complications of
the theory of functions of complex variable.

Furthermore, now exp(i * fi) = cos(fi) + i * sin (fi) = 
cos(fi). But as +1 = pi and there are no angles such that 
sin(fi) = pi, then sin (fi) = -1 for any fi.

New  fundamental theorem of algebra: 1 = 0.

Proof.  The fact that i = 0 has just been proved. Hence sqrt(-1) = 0.  
Taking  this into second power we get, 1 = 0.  That is pi = e.  
We have just proved this intuitively correct assumption.

Great changes will be caused in other sciences as well.

Thus, in physics the coefficients 1/4 * pi in the Maxwell 
equations will turn into simple 1/4.  This will simplify these 
equations in the Gauss system and will hit the mortal blow to 
the presumptious imaginary advantages of the scandalously 
notorious SI system.

Furthernore, the equation of electrostatics, E = e / (epsilon * 
r^2) will be changed -- in force of e = 0 -- into E = 0.  This 
will radically simplify all theory of electricity: force F = 0,
potential Fi = const, and so forth.

In chemistry, all pi-connections of molecules will become 
1-connections.  Automatically the question of multiplicity of 
these connections will be resolved -- all pi-connections are 
singular.

The economical effect of the proposed change will be great and 
diverse.  Let us emphasize just three its aspects.

1. There will be no need in trigonometric tables nor 
logarithmic rulers or special functions in electronic 
calculators (reminding that cos(fi) = 1, sin(fi) = 0, e^x = 0).

2. The Joule losses in the circuits of alternating current will 
disappear, as the transmitted energy, E = I * U * cos(fi) and 
cos(fi) = 1.  Thanks to this effect, the electrical energy will 
be transported to users without any losses.

3. The mass of a rocket, m that reached the velocity, v is m = m0 * 
exp(-v / v-propellant) = 0 because e = 0.  The rocket will 
exhaust all its fuel energy instantly after the launch.  Hence 
the reactive movement and launching the missiles becomes 
impossible.  The arms race automatically stops.
