MFTI, MIPT: Background

About the Background

The background for these web pages was scanned from a bottle of Aristocrat Vodka. It is an image of a drunk Chernobyl chicken. (For non-Russian visitors, The Chernobyl Chicken is the nick name of the Russia's Coat of Arms -- it is a two headed mutant eagle -- making a point of being the Third Rome. Here's a more official version )

I do not promote the Aristocrate or any other brand of Vodka. Just that picture seemed very appropriate for Russia.

As a kid I grew up on milk and beer, my mother brought me up in such an attitude that I do not drink water at all. My favourite kind of beers lies in the upper right corner of the Beer Map you may find in the Links Page. You may find some very nice beers in the United States, just do not take the run of the mill brands like Bud, Michaelob, Coors, etc. Like making love in a canoe, they are making-loving close to water.

And now I've drawn the line on beer -- imbibe it only on special occasions. Like the Phystech Alumni reunions.

What I may say is a decent substitute for beer, is Vodka Fresca based on the Fresca drink by The Coca Cola Co., an absolutely pure product of Petrochemistry that does not contain anything - no sugar, no cholesterol, no fat, no caffein, no fiber, zero octane, zero calories.

Prost!

Another recommended subsitute refreshment -- take a half-gallon of milk and down it with a two pound loaf of raisin bread.

Or do you remember what did Genosse Brezhnev write on the labels of Moscovs... and Stoli... Vodka bottles?

"pour un monde plus humain!",    a humanist, mother#$%^&* mother!

"Forgive us our spelling, as we forgive those who spell against us."
