General Zhukov emphatically called by soldiers
The Buthcher, actually had five gold stars of Hero and it had taken
lives of one million of his own soldiers to gain him each
of the stars (1 x 5 = 5,000,000). He burned 8,000 Russian tanks in the most grandious tank battle of the World War II in June 23-27, 1943, the battle against 800 inferiour German panzers. After the WWII ended and when the Cold War started, Zhukov dropped A-Bomb on 60,000 Russian troops and civilians in Totsk on September 14, 1954. They did not receive either attention or care as happened with the enemy in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Read about this "incident" in a short review of a book. The book, The Shadow of Victory (Тень Победы) is available on the net. For analysis of Zhukov's memoirs see Mezhiritsky. and Sokolov |

Treasure hunters
in the Valley of Death The Russian soldiers were not issued either the dog tags or any paper IDs during a large part of the war . They existed only in their company rosters. For the batallion level and higher, they were simply statistics. |

In Tver Province alone, there were slain 2 million 100 thousand Red Army soldiers
during 1941-1942. Almost
all of them are still scattered in the woods, unburied.

There are still more than 2.5 million decorations (orders and medals)
